Safe Passage Housing is preparing a new transitional home for displaced women and children who need a safe, welcoming place to call home. On Serve Day, volunteers will help prepare both sides of a duplex by moving and setting up furniture, organizing living spaces, assembling welcome baskets and completing the practical tasks needed before families arrive. For women and children experiencing displacement, moving into a prepared home can mean more than having a place to stay. It can provide a sense of safety, dignity and hope during a difficult transition. Through simple acts of care, our team will help make these homes feel welcoming from the very beginning. Led by Stephanie Martin, Safe Passage Housing supports individuals and families working toward safety, stability and greater independence. This project gives us the opportunity to serve with humble hands by helping create a place where women and children can begin again with care and encouragement around them.
